Alaska has been fighting to have the mountain renamed since the 1970's.  But Ohio has been fighting the name change for 40 years!  Yes, McKinley was from Ohio, and he was president.  But who knows a single fact about him besides the two I've mentioned?  President McKinley,  a president so mediocre, no one remembers him.

I know, I knew Alaskans had been trying to change it along time, as from what I read some guy in Ohio how had never visited the mountain changed the name when Mckenly wad still just a canadet, and that up till then it had been named Denali. So yeah so Obama just fixed a very old wronging of Alaska and it's people.
