Hey, so I just realized yesterday that it had been a month since I last blogged. We have been busier than a male escort at the GOP convention...
TH is slowly but surely digging through his sister's house. It has been an emotional journey for him, that often leaves him depressed and guilt ridden, only to have to get up and begin again each day. Every nook and cranny of her house was filled to the brim, add to this tsunami of belongs an ocean of paperwork to sift through. I've gone over with him a few times, but the inches thick dust sparks an allergy attack that lasts for days, so I've not been much physical help to him.
While he is digging thru the layers of his sister's life, I've been going thru the random boxes of items we have plucked from our storage units. Trying to pare down our belongings into one storage unit, and we have finally realized that is an unrealistic idea. So we are just going to straighten them up enough to put the family pieces of furniture we inherited from his sister.
Life in the RV trailer has been surprisingly easy! Due to its tiny size, 26 feet long, its super easy to keep tidy. However, just a pair of shoes and a few books and my knitting sitting out make it look as though it's pig pen messy. There are things I keep moving about trying to find the "perfect" place for them, which for some things doesn't happen.
The internet here is at times dial-up slow, driving me totally crazy! At the first of the month when I paid our bills, nearly all of which are paperless and web based I had to use my phone "hot spot" killing my allowed 3 gigs. I'm up at 5:30 am to get this written, TH is asleep or I'd attempt to post a few photos of our trailer. My phone is in the bedroom. If I get up again in the middle of the night, I'll post some pics.
I'm sorry I haven't managed to keep up with everyone's blog, but between sifting thru his sister's life and ours and the crappy internet I just don't have the energy.
The bright spot of this entire summer was the fabulous week of taking care of our grandson while he was between day care centers. And!!! We have managed to visit with eldest and his two girls, so life on the grandparent front is blooming wonderful.
